How Does Cryotherapy Work?

If this is your first Cryotherapy session, you probably have a lot of questions: Basically, there are three steps to the process:
1.Consultation – Before your session, we want to ensure that Cryotherapy is right for you. One of our knowledgeable technicians will speak to you about your expectations, medical background, and any concerns you may have. Once you have confirmed you are ready, our technician will determine the right temperature and time for your Cryo session.
You will be led to a private area to undress and put on a robe. Once the Cryo Chamber is ready, you will be given socks and insulated boots to wear inside the chamber. After you step into the chamber, you will close the door, hand the technician the robe and then put on the gloves. Your head and neck will be exposed above the machine, allowing for visual and verbal contact at all times.
2.Treatment – You are now ready to experience your Cryo treatment and enjoy your 2 to 3-minute session and experience the health benefits. Once your session begins, the cryotherapy chamber will be filled with nitrogen vapor and a dry chill that drops the ambient temperature to a range of -90 and 120 Celsius. Your entire body will be cooled from your neck to your feet. Once it is cold enough to reach Cryo temperatures your blood will flow from your extremities to the body’s core where the body gets fresh oxygen enriched blood and feel good endorphins are released. When the endorphins are released, the energy levels in the body are increased. Your body will burn between 500-800 calories each session.

3. Post Cryo – Once the session is complete, you will re-robe and exit the Cryosauna. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to aid the detoxification process. After your session, you will experience reduced pain, improved circulation and many more health benefits.
