Nola Cyro offers nine types of massages that bring you relaxation and pain relief.

Swedish Massage – a gentle and therapeutic style of bodywork that provides relaxation and pain management techniques by releasing muscle knots. Ideal for those new to massage.

Swedish massages combine oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve circulation. Benefits include: Relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. Scheduling: 60–90 minutes.

Shiatsu – a Japanese style massage that will relax and release the minor tensions in your body. During the massage, your therapist will use their hands, palms, and thumbs to apply pulsing or rhythmic pressure to specific points of your body.

Shiatsu massage is best for people who want to feel relaxed and relieve stress, pain, and tension. You can be fully clothed during this massage. Benefits include: Promotes emotional/physical calm and relaxation, helps to relieve stress, anxiety, and depression, reduces muscle tension and may relieve headaches. Scheduling: 60–90 minutes.

Deep Tissue Massage – a great option if you are having a lot of muscle tension or experiencing chronic pain. Deep tissue massages aim to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body.

During a Deep tissue massage, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure that you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is common after the treatment and that you should drink plenty of water to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will be released from the deep tissue during the session. Benefits include: Highly effective for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Scheduling: 60–90 minutes.

Reflexology – best for people looking to relax and to restore their natural energy levels. This bodywork focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet, hands, and ears.

Unlike other foot massages that intend to relieve tension only in the feet; reflexology is an in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Benefits include: Highly effective to relieve conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression. Reflexology is also a good option if you aren’t comfortable being touched on your entire body. You should wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to your legs. Scheduling: 30–90 minutes.

Hot Stone Massage – best for people who have muscle pain and tension and who want to relax. Similar to a Swedish massage, except the massage therapist uses heated stones instead of, or in addition to, their hands.

Sports Massage – used to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. This massage helps to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility, and to prevent injuries.

Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion or overuse, a sports massage helps to break them down quickly and effectively. Benefits: No matter what your athletic aptitude is, a sports massage will help increase your endurance and strength capacity. Scheduling: 60-90 minutes.

Aromatherapy Massage – best for those who want an emotional component to their massage. Aromatherapy utilizes essential oils combined with soft, gentle pressure. Your massage therapist will choose the oil unless you specify a preference.

Aromatherapy helps boost your mood by lessening symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, this massage will relive muscle tension and pain. During the massage, you’ll be given a full body massage while inhaling essential oils through a diffuser and absorbing them through your skin. Sometimes an aromatherapy massage will only focus on your back, shoulders, and head. You won’t wear any clothing other than underwear, which is optional. Benefits: Aromatherapy relieves tension, promotes a sense of well-being and provides a soothing sensation that will aid in the efficacy of any massage experience. Scheduling: 60-90 minutes.
